The 2023 FIFAe Nations Cup spans 11-14 July with the 24 top nations competing in the largest FIFAe event of the year. The 23 best nations compete alongside the host nation Saudi Arabia in the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023™ from 11 to 14 July, with a prize pool of USD 1,000,000 distributed among winning nations of each competition stage.Canada Soccer’s eNational Team players AgitpowerAJ and Goalmachine have travelled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the 2023 FIFAe Nations Cup. This will be Canada’s second time at the FIFAe Nations Cup, having now qualified in back-to-back years. Canada is currently ranked 9th in the FIFAe Nations Ranking, and are the highest ranked Nation in North & Central America. Canada’s journey to the FIFAe Nations Cup began in December of 2022 and the squad progressed through each stage of the qualifying journey including the FIFAe Nations Play-Ins, FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers, and FIFAe Nations Playoffs ultimately qualifying alongside the United States. Canada advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2022 FIFAe Nations Cup in Copenhagen and will look to build on that performance in 2023. The tournament will open on 11 July with two days of group stage play, followed by the Round of 16 and Quarter-Finals on 13 July with the Semi-Finals and Finals on 14 July. All matches will be played 2v2 on the PlayStation 5 version of FIFA 23 using drafted FIFA Ultimate Team Squads. Canada Soccer’s eNational Team have been drawn in Group A and will compete against tournament hosts Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Qatar, Denmark, and Netherlands. The top 4 teams from the group stage will advance to the Round of 16. All of Canada’s matches will be broadcast live on Twitch.tv/CanadaSoccer featuring fan-favourite Nicco Cardarelli on commentary. Hosted in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Gamers8 takes place for eight weeks across the summer and features the world’s best teams and players from various gaming titles.
